Match the gauge
Compare the nearest USGS gauges using distance and watershed-area similarity, then retain the best available association.
How the signal works
BridgeRiskIQ does not estimate flow at the bridge. It watches the best available nearby gauge and records when the owner-defined inspection threshold is reached.
Compare the nearest USGS gauges using distance and watershed-area similarity, then retain the best available association.
High-risk bridges use the 10-year event, Medium the 25-year event, and Low the 50-year event. Stable bridges have no trigger.
When a gauge reaches a bridge threshold, the event time, observed flow, gauge, and association confidence are preserved for review.
